2.0.0 will revert back to 1.4.0

September 3, 2009

I thought the changes I was going to put into 1.3.0 would warrant a full upgrade of the version to 2.0.0. The inclusion of Flex and Flash support would have added a huge amount of capability to Fitnium….

Unfortunately the open source libraries that are available to support Flex and Flash are incomplete, not support well and buggy. So I have pulled these 2 items from the release

Fitnium 1.4.0 now includes

  • Major rewite of the code to make it more modular
  • Support for all Selenium RC commands where appropriate including ALL WaitFor commands
  • Extensibility through the use of custom tokens to autogenerate such things as numbers, text strings, calendars and dates etc
  • Command Pattern implementation to add you own commands
  • Extensive API + documentation for all new customizations
  • Regular expression support over and above what Selenium provides

I think you’ll like it. However I am looking for Beta testers to give it a go for a couple of weeks so that I know I haven’t broken anything major.

After than 1.4.0 will be released and all the code added to sourceforge SVN and I will move the project full time into SourceForge
